Living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy has been an interesting journey to say the least. And when added to the rigors of daily life the journey seems ever so remarkable. Having lived with this disability for twenty-four years I am still somewhat amazed by how far I have come. Yet in looking back I also realize how fortunate I am to have attended and graduated college as well as having the opportunity to work as an intern at Capitol Hill and the White House.
